PDM system integration application development

In this Paper, the related problems accumulated in the process of implementing PDM (Windchill) in this enterprise, through the application of Pro/Intralink Gateway integrated development technology, realize the effective integration of Pro/E 3D design management system Pro/Intralink and PDM system Windchill, thus solving the PDM system. The business constraint rules and the business logic of the enterprise PDM system lack consistency.

As a product data management system, PDM defines a unified, standard, stable and scalable system architecture. It provides digital management solutions for all industries and all types of users. However, due to the versatility of the PDM system and the lack of personalization, it is necessary to carry out customized development under the PDM framework in accordance with the development needs of the enterprise in the PDM project implementation stage to meet the individual needs of different users. The content discussed in this paper is tailor-made development for the problems accumulated by PTC's PDM system Windchill during the implementation of the 38th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group.

First, functional requirements

In order to solve the problems in the implementation process of Windchill, improve the implementation effect of enterprise PDM. Pro/Intralink Gateway integrated development technology enables efficient integration of Pro/E + Pro/Intralink 3D design systems and Windchill. The integrated Windchill system will meet the following related functional requirements.

(1) One release as a complete transaction, the release success should provide users with intuitive prompt information, and a published document automatically initiates a document review process in the Windchill system (eg, a released component in the Windchill system) Automatically start a component review process);

(2) All published part drawing numbers shall be applied for and available by the user in Windchill;

(3) The assembled assembly should automatically create the correct product structure in the Windchill system to achieve shielding of the auxiliary structure in Pro/E;

(4) The characteristics of the component should be properly released at the same time as the component is released, and conform to the specifications of the Windchill system. The CAD document and its properties of the component should also be properly released at the same time as the component is released. It also conforms to the specifications of the Windchill system, and the CAD document and the component have the correct relationship;

(5) When the purchased parts/outsourcing parts are released, only the CAD documents are released, and the parts themselves are not released to the Windchill system, but the assembly relationship is correctly reflected in the CAD documents;

(6) The results of the release should meet the requirements of the Pro/E fully relevant design. All the fittings, parts and their 3D and 2D documents should be properly opened in the visualization function of the Windchill system;

(7) Being able to properly handle the release of existing components and documents in the Windchill system; conforming to the Windchill System Change Management Specification (only parts and documents in the Windchill state that are "fiction" and "refusal") can be re-released, and Upgrade the corresponding minor version);

(8) Realize the management integration of changes between Pro/Intralink and Windchill, in line with the change management specification of Windchill system (after the change request in Windchill system is approved, it can be downgraded and modified in Pro/Intralink, and the strict correspondence between versions is maintained. relationship).
