Recently, through the joint efforts of researchers, the project "Lithium Battery Power Management System Research" undertaken by the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology of the Hefei Institute of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made important progress, breaking through intelligent charge and discharge management, current limiting charging, and FCC capacity A series of key technologies such as self-learning, to achieve the safe and stable operation of lithium battery packs, has now entered the trial run phase of the whole machine and is about to enter the stage of industrialization.

The "Lithium Battery Power Management System Research" project was commissioned by Changzhou Pengteng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The system consists of a lower computer and a host computer.

The lower computer uses a high-reliability single-chip microcomputer as the main control chip of the system to manage the collection of the cell voltage, temperature, and current in the battery pack, and performs charge and discharge management of the battery pack according to the collected information, and has overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent. Short circuit and other protection functions, compared with similar products with good stability, powerful features; while using current integration algorithm to achieve battery capacity FCC self-learning operation, compared to the calculation of power based on the voltage accuracy of the algorithm is more accurate, more applicability The upper computer adopts VC to develop, can realize the functions such as data display, configuration parameter and long-distance control,etc., connect with lower computer through RS232 and RS485 bus line.

At present, each system can manage up to 16 strings of lithium batteries, which can achieve stable and reliable operation of the system. It can provide safe and reliable power for mobile electronic devices such as notebook computers, communication base stations, electric bicycles, and power tools, and has broad industrialization prospects.
