Welding and sharpening of cemented carbide tools

Carbide knives have extremely high hardness, good red hardness and sufficient strength. It has been widely used in production. However, due to the high hardness and brittleness of the cemented carbide, during the welding and sharpening process, the process is slightly negligent, and the blade will crack and be scrapped in batches. This is especially true for YT30 cemented carbide. Therefore, how to avoid cracks becomes a problem that must be solved in production. Some of the process measures proposed in this paper are based on the author's many years of practical experience. It is an effective measure to avoid cracking of cemented carbide blades, and the production process has already been adopted.
