Technical lecture on cemented carbide indexable tools, lecture 2, indexable cutter cutting

The indexable tool structure was originally developed to solve the defects caused by the welding and sharpening of the cemented carbide. However, when this type of tool appeared, it was found that its performance was better than expected. Therefore, the material of the indexable tool is no longer limited to cemented carbide. Tool ceramics, cubic nitride, and diamond materials can be made into indexable tools. Carbide surface coated inserts require an indexable tool structure to fully demonstrate its superiority. Currently even high speed steel is also produced in the form of indexable inserts for production.
