Pressure piping defines pressure piping installation standards

Pressure pipe definition

In a broad sense, a pressure pipe is any pipe that is subjected to internal or external pressure, regardless of the medium in the pipe. A pressure pipe is a part of a pipe that is used to convey, distribute, mix, separate, discharge, meter, control, and stop fluid flow. Pipes, fittings, flanges, bolted joints, gaskets, valves, and other components Or an assembly assembly consisting of a pressure member and a support member.

Pipeline characteristics

1. The pressure pipeline is a system that interacts with each other and affects the whole body.

2. The pressure pipe has a large length to diameter ratio and is extremely unstable. The force is more complicated than the pressure vessel. The fluid flow state in the pressure pipeline is complicated, the buffering space is small, and the working condition change frequency is higher than the pressure vessel (such as high temperature, high pressure, low temperature, low pressure, displacement deformation, wind, snow, earthquake, etc.) may affect the stress of the pressure pipeline.

3. There are many types of pipe components and pipe supports. Each material has its own characteristics and specific technical requirements, and the materials are complicated to choose.

4. There are more leaks on the pipeline than in the pressure vessel. There are usually only five valves.

5. There are many types of pressure pipes, large quantities, design, manufacturing, installation, inspection, and many application management links, which are quite different from pressure vessels.

Pressure pipe installation standard

Low pressure pipeline 0≤P≤1.6MPa

Medium pressure pipeline 1.6

High pressure pipeline 10

Ultra high pressure pipeline P>100MPa

Pipe level

The long-distance pipeline is of the GA class, and the levels are divided into:

1.1 Long-distance pipelines that meet one of the following conditions are classified as GA1:

(1) transporting toxic, flammable and explosive gas medium, long-distance pipeline with maximum working pressure greater than 4.0 MPa;

(2) Long-distance pipelines with toxic, flammable and explosive liquid medium, the maximum working pressure is 6.4 MPa or more, and the transport distance (refers to the length of the pipeline for transporting commercial medium between the production area, storage and users) ≥200km.

The long-distance (oil and gas) pipelines other than 1.2GA1 are classified as GA2.

The public pipeline is of GB class, and the level is divided into:

GB1, gas pipeline;

GB2, heat pipes.

Industrial pipelines are of the GC class; the levels are divided into:

6.3.1 Industrial pipelines that meet one of the following conditions are of the GC1 class:

(1) In the pipeline of GB5044 “Classification of Occupational Exposure Toxic Hazards”, the pipeline with the degree of toxicity is extremely harmful;

(2) Pipes for transporting GB50160 "Design Code for Fire Protection of Petrochemical Enterprises" and GBJ16 "Code for Fire Protection of Building Design" for fire danger of Class A, Class B combustible gas or Class A combustible liquid medium and designing pressure P≥4.0MPa;

(3) conveying a flammable fluid medium, a toxic fluid medium, a design pressure P ≥ 4.0 MPa and a design temperature of 400 ° C or more;

(4) A pipe that transports a fluid medium and is designed to have a pressure P ≥ 10.0 MPa.

3.2 Industrial piping that meets one of the following conditions is GC2:

(1) The fire hazard specified in GB50160 "Design Code for Fire Protection of Petrochemical Enterprises" and GBJ16 "Code for Fire Protection of Building Design" is Class A, Class B combustible gas or Class A combustible liquid medium and design pressure

Pipe with P < 4.0 MPa;

(2) conveying flammable fluid medium, toxic fluid medium, designing pipeline with pressure P<4.0MPa and design temperature ≥400°C;

(3) conveying non-combustible fluid medium, non-toxic fluid medium, designing pipeline with pressure P<10.0MPa and design temperature ≥400°C;

(4) conveying a fluid medium, designing a pipe with a pressure P<10.0 MPa and a design temperature <400 °C;

Note 1: The transport distance refers to the direct distance between the place of origin, the storage, and the user for transporting the commercial medium.
